Hello and welcome to McKenny Glenn Homes! My name is Brian Hix and I'm the founding member and CEO of McKenny Glenn. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce you to who we are.
Growing up, my dad was a former marine who had become a pastor for a small church in Reno, Nevada. So you could say that I got a good amount of God and Country infused into me at a very young age and he taught me two fundamental principles that have guided me my whole life. The main one was to always keep your word, no matter what. And the other was if you're going to do anything, make sure you do it with excellence. We founded McKenny Glenn homes back in September of 2010.
We started with three little homes in a small community in Edinburg during the absolute bottom of the Great Recession. But our goal was simple. We wanted to build a quality home, for a great value, that people can depend on. Not just for one year, two years; or until the warranty expired. But for the entire time, they lived in that home. A home they could be proud of.
At McKenny Glenn we feel that a home is the most important purchase of any person or couple or family that they will ever make. Because in that home, they will make the majority of the memories throughout their life. Families will be raised in them. Children will take their first steps in them. Holidays will be spent in them. And if you think back on your memories, a lot of them happened in your home too. When we set out to establish a home building company, we wanted to build a home that we would be proud to make our own memories in. We started with just three homes in 2010 and continued to grow over the last 12 years to become one of the premier and most recognized homebuilders in the RGV. We have done that by bringing the principles my dad taught me when I was a kid; we've kept our word to our customers, and we have built McKenny Glenn on excellence in all we do.
When you walk through a McKenny Glenn home, you will notice first the engineering that goes into every one of our post-tension foundations. Then you will see firsthand our attention to detail during our frame walks. The quality of our cabinets and self-closing hinges; our 30 plus tile selections, that all come standard, and over 500 color schemes and selections that you can choose from. We walk our customers through the entire home building process step by step until finally, you will see our commitment to your satisfaction with our 2-10 Warranty and final walkthrough. At McKenny Glenn we take pride in our name and we honor the trust our customers have put in us.
